NBC: U.S. Rushed Brits to Bust Terror Plot, Says Source
Apparently, the Brits didn’t want to reveal the terror plot there for at least another week while gathering more evidence, but the Bushies pressured them to do so. It’s pretty clear now that the Bushies manipulated this plot for political purposes: it’s come out that Bush & Cheney knew about the plot and were briefed on it at least a week before Lieberman’s loss, and thus Cheney’s statement that Lamont is anti-war-on-terror was made with the knowledge that later in the day the information about the plot would go public. Now, we know that they even set the time for the revealing. This administration plays politics with everything, even subjects as serious as terror. Do they even care whether or not people live or die, or just whether they get elected? Lieberman goes on and on decrying the partisanship in this country; maybe he should look at his best friends and take a long, hard look at their political machinations.
