Torpark

This looks like an interesting development: some people have created a combination of Firefox and the Tor system called Torpark, which anonymizes and encrypts data and bounces it through multiple Tor routers, making it incredibly difficult if not almost impossible to trace. As well, it lends itself to getting through censoring firewalls, such as the ones used at HW. I’m going to test this out at school and see if it works.

iWitness

I just went to see a play with my grandfather called iWitness at the Mark Taper Forum down at the Music Center. It was incredible and I recommend that everyone sees it.

It’s about a true historical figure named Franz Jägerstätter. He was a conscientious objector against joining the army of the Hitler’s Third Reich. He was tried and executed in 1943. This play gets into his mind and his thinking, portraying a man who had a wonderful life to live for but who sacrificed it all for the sake of his principles. He believed that all those around him were blinding themselves to the atrocities of Hitler’s regime and who were not being the eyewitnesses that they should have been.

iWitness truly made me think about war and its justifications, especially in times such as these with the President of the US making another false case for another false war, this time against Iran. Please, go see it.

Working Out

I hate working out. It’s not fun, interesting, or really anything on its own.

I know I have to do it, though, as I’m overweight and need to lose some pounds. Thankfully, I podcast the Al Franken Show and listen to that while I’m working out. My anger and laughter at the political system in this country keeps me going.

Antonio’s Rant

Because of his randomness while on IM, I accused my friend Antonio of smoking crack. This was his response.

Update: Immediately after, he went at it again.
